With the new year, I wanted to try something new with this program and the website.
First of all, for next week, I'd like you to post two goals you have in mind over the next couple months. For example, one obvious goal would be your next stripe test or belt promotion. Others would be focusing on targeting, increasing flexibility, reading more about karate's history and so on.
Also for next week, I would like to see evidence that you are working out at home. Since school is just getting back in, let's ease into it and say you should practice at home at least two days before next Wednesday.
If you are working your kata, practice it 5-10 times. If you are working on ippons or taezus, practice them 10 times on each side. Grab Mom, Dad, brother or sister and practice self-defenses 10 times on each side.
Parents – I would encourage you to post for your children so you can be involved as well.
Feel free to copy and paste these.
My goals for spring 2010 are…
Goal #1 –
Goal #2 –
Today at home, I worked on…
(mark an X between the brackets)
[] My kata
[] My ippons
[] My taezus
[] My self-defenses
[] Conditioning (pushups, crunches)
