Tomorrow night marks my return to MGS for the first time in three weeks! Hopefully we get a big turnout after a few rocky weeks but I promise I'm back and ready to go.

Don't forget to read the new Next Generation column by Mr. Chianakas! I want to push it more than I usually do because I actually helped him out with the article and wanted to plug my name being in Black Belt Magazine.

I've got a few ideas to go through in the next couple weeks in terms of website usage, and I think Mr. C is going to borrow some of them, too. Stay on the lookout for a more active message board. And, I know Invision Power Board (the software that is the main drive behind the forums) is going to release a BRAND NEW version, soon.

There is no SWAT for tomorrow, 9/17. Mr. C has posted a message about it at the forums.

Also, we only have 18 members (less than that because I technically have two accounts there) at the MMA Google Group. Remember, we will be converting to this soon and if you are not signed up, you will not receive e-mails regarding the program anymore. Mr. C said we might be using only this system by October, but that was two weeks ago and he hasn't mentioned anything. Get signed up because it's the only way you'll receive your MMA news in the future!

Remember MGS is still canceled for tonight. Check back within the next few days to see anymore updates, but as of now we will be having class next Tuesday, 9/23.

I'm not going to post any links for this update due to time's sake. But I want everybody to make sure they check out a few new updates. Mr. C has some old MMA apparel he wants to get rid of for cheap, and he wants to know what YOU have to think about new team uniforms.

Reminder of two things - One, our official involvement with the Art Rod Foundation is a no-go this Saturday due to lack of time to be committed to making a demo. Please head out to it if you can, though. Depending on this assignment I'm working on, I might try to go for awhile until I have to get ready for work. Also, there is no karate at MGS this coming Tuesday. Due to a slight conflict, there may not be any on the 23rd, but we do not see this happening. Keep updated right here with the latest information.

Hopefully all of the noobies have had a chance to check out this website. Please register an account at the forums and submit your e-mail to the Google Group you see above. I really hope all of you use the technology available to help enhance your physical training.

With that being said, WELCOME to all of the new students and I hope this program has given you a preview of almost everything you've hoped and dreamed about a martial arts club. For anybody who has just joined us and may not have heard the news, I wanted to remind you that Metamora Martial Arts was voted THE BEST Children's Program in the United States by Black Belt Magazine!

For those of you wondering who writes this, I am Joshu Adam Bockler. Due to a variety of reasons, I'm not able to attend karate too much this semester. Hopefully I'll be able to meet all of you at some point, but for now I'm an avatar of colors and text.

The new schedules have finally been updated, in case you were wanting to look. It's been quite a hectic time at the start of the school year for everybody, and it's time to set sail for some smoother waters, folks.

I'm anxious to see all the new faces we're going to be bringing in, starting tomorrow night. This is our biggest recruitment kick EVER so it should be interesting to see exactly what the numbers are. For those interested in a calendar - Mr. C told me it's on his school computer so I should have it tomorrow.

After talking to Mr. C last week and on Saturday, I wanted to reiterate to anyone involved with the high school program that is taking the PE waiver that if you are just attending Metamora Martial Arts for the waiver, you are in for the wrong reasons. Don't use this program so you don't have to take PE.

The new DVD for yellow belt requirements is almost done. I need to take a copy to Mr. C so I can get the official go-ahead from him, and I'm hoping I can have them ready starting next week. I have burned a few more copies of the 07-08 highlight DVD in case you missed it the first time around.

In the Support/FAQ forum, you'll notice a topic that there is an error when trying to amend profile information. I don't know how to fix it nor how soon I'll get directions on how to fix it.
