Remember that NEXT WEEK is our official orientation week. Of course we welcome students at all times of the year since we don't technically have a season, but next Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are our official "welcome back" days and orientations for new students. Check the forums to see what you can do to talk up the programs to your friends and/or family.

I found Black Belt Magazine's Hall of Fame is taking nominations. I thought it would be cool to nominate Mr. C as Instructor of the Year for what he's done with this program. Get the link here.

That's all I've got for you this morning. Classes start for me today and because of my schedule, I'll rarely be seen at the high school but still intend on being active at this site.

It's been a week since I've updated, mainly for the fact there hasn't been any class which produces news.

Our biggest deal going right now is the rejuvenation of all of the programs - not that there has been anything wrong with them, but there is a big recruitment goal to get huge once again. We look forward to any interested families joining MMA and feel free to send us e-mails or shoot us a post on the forums. Check out the photo gallery and the videos on YouTube.

I've really sat down this week and worked on the new Yellow Belt Requirements DVD. It's not perfect but I'm doing the best I can with what I have to produce the best possible requirements disc. If you didn't get a copy of my highlight DVD for the year, let me know. They're on sale for $15. If you want a holiday party DVD with that, save $5 and you can have both for $20.

Other than that I did some minor editing on the site and fixed some things. Invision Power Board (the company that makes the software that you see as the forums) is gearing up to release version 3.0.0 at some point. I honestly don't know how close but I'm looking forward to it as it will likely give me new things to play with, and give everybody else a better overall message board.

Thanks to EVERYBODY who came out for the blood drive today. We had plenty of help throughout the day and I asked Mrs. Robertson how we did as far as a turnout and it sounded like we had a big success. Stay tuned to the forums for possibly an official number later.

Also thanks to those of you who have already bought my highlight DVD. I still have more copies. $15 for that DVD, $20 for it and the holiday party DVD (save $5!).

Oh, and in case you hadn't heard, we've all made it back successfully from Missouri. Two years in a row and Mr. Chianakas has pulled off another trip. For details, or at least my perspective of things, check my blog at the forums.

If you happen to read this post right away, pictures should be up soon from my camera. I know the Deters took A TON of pics so I'm looking forward to seeing those.

The 2007-2008 Metamora Martial Arts Highlight DVD is COMPLETE and I've burned 13 copies of it. I tested it out on my TV and it looks good. I'm asking for a $15 donation for the time and effort put into creating them. Along with that, I still have around half a dozen 2007 Holiday Party DVDs for $10 that I'd like to get rid of because they're taking up space here in my room. The premier party will be on August 14 from 7-8, sandwiched between the blood drive and pool party. If you are coming to the pool party, make sure to bring $5 because this came out of my pocket. Once I make all my money back, any excess will be donated to the MMA fund.

Hopefully everybody who's going on the trip got a call from Mr. C yesterday. If not, please check the list on the forums for items to bring and we'll see you at 9:45AM in the parking lot of the bus barn. I really hope everybody isn't bringing as much stuff as I am.

Stay tuned to the forums as I plan on doing a blog of events. Also if I'm feeling frisky I might even tape a few segments for immediate YouTube upload.

Sorry for not getting the archives updated until now. I've clocked a new high for hours this week.

I probably won't update much this week. There is no new information that we haven't been throwing at you for the past couple weeks. The only new thing is that I've started on the last highlight video and hope to get all of that squared away before leaving on the trip, so I can sell some the night we do our premier after the blood drive and before the pool party on August 14.
