So I uploaded the schedules in both of the programs' schedule pages. A few things of note are the 2/10 and 2/24 advanced classes. And, SWAT team is back this month from 5-6 on Tuesday night, February 6.
What a busy day yesterday. After I got home from Auburn, I went to a party for a friend of mine. I came home and about fell asleep talking to my mom.
Anyway, the tournament was awesome and our crew did very well.
Check out the tournament section for results from Auburn and for a huge list of upcoming area tournaments (with at least one more needing to be added). If you have
REMINDER: I've received little feedback on things I STILL need for this website. Check THIS LINK for things I need.
Everybody thank Justin for uploading the video of the demo at January 12's halftime demo. I believe Mrs. Schertz also filmed, so thank her too, if you get the chance.
Some quick updates...
IMPORTANT: If you are on the PE waiver but did not attend class Tuesday, you are on the fast track to being placed in PE. See Mr. Chianakas ASAP.
If you are an assistant instructor, Mr. C would like to see you set the model and post your goals on the forums. Also, I would love for assistants to do me a favor and pass along more information for a special assistants page. It's no secret that the assistants are a key part to the program, and I think they deserve to have a special section on the site.
Many new pictures have been uploaded to the gallery. Much thanks to Mrs. Deters and Mrs. Craig, the gallery has thrived this past week.
Justin has video of the varsity basketball demo we did this past Friday night. I'm going to hound him to upload it to the YouTube account, which is located on the left under Highlight Videos.
I just wanted to let you know that I've gone ahead and upgraded the boards to Invision Power Board 2.2.1. It's got some new features in it to benefit everybody, and will allow me to do some cool things with the board in the future.
Hopefully none of you went to MTHS this morning in the hopes of having competition team - it was cancelled. I apologize for not making a notice on the site.
Last night's demo was pretty awesome. I wish we could do more throughout the year, but that's just me.
Just a reminder to visit the forums to see some updates I need for the site. You can click the link in the update below.
I was talking to Mark Nycz last night on AIM and our conversation led me to look at the album permissions in the Photo Gallery, and I realized a lot of them didn't allow REGISTERED users to upload photos. Right now, they should all be good to go.
I've gotten several people asking me about if their forum account could double as their gallery account. I'd originally said no, but realized there is a way to make this possible. I tried setting it up last night and I ran into a snag. I've currently set up a help thread at the IPB Help boards and hopefully I'll get a reply back soon.
Speaking of the boards, IPB 2.2.1 is out. I am currently running 2.1.7. Sometime in the near future, I will be making the upgrade and it WILL be a noticeable difference. I'm also seeking help from a friend on that because I've never done my own upgrade before, so I want to make sure that I do it correctly and don't lose any information.
The boards are running at 50 registered members and nearly 200 posts. It's been more inactive this week than it has since it opened, but I'm going to put the blame on that because of finals this week. Keep signing up and keep staying active!
REMINDER: Auburn tournament is two weeks from today!
REMINDER #2: If you are signed up for the Japanese class at ICC, you will need these books. You can get them through ICC, or for cheaper by searching the ISBN on Amazon. I got them all brand new for $14 cheaper on Amazon.
Lots of activity in the forums over the past week - 125 posts as of this writing! Even though the site has only been online a few weeks, I just wanted everybody to know that it will not stay dormant. Almost every day this week I've made at least one change or addition to the site. The site will continue to change in the coming days and weeks as I have some info regarding updates on the forums.
Happy New Year, everyone! After spending the most of the day playing a video game, I've come upstairs twice to find two of the largest e-mails Mr. C has ever sent out, haha. Here are the links...
High School Schedule/Notes - calendar, The Core, US Open,
PE waiver, SWAT, and more
High School Notes 2 - semester purchases
and order form
Grade School Calendar - 3 bo classes & competition team. Check
the forums or your e-mail for specific details on t-shirts and semester fees.
Also added are the Newswire Archives for 2006. There will probably be an archive for every month in the future, in case you missed news and events.
